Detailed & Improved Tagging

All NKS libraries have been updated by hand to add more detailed tagging to every preset. Over 15,000 new tags have been added to sounds with work continuing on adding even more tagging. This ensures all sounds in every library are tagged for easy searching. Additional work has also been done to consolidate and improve tagging with HUNDREDS of improvements to tagging since version 2.1. This improves browser speeds and makes finding sounds even faster. It’s recommended to update ALL your NKS libraries to make the best use of this.

Version Numbers

Version numbers for releases have been added to the properties of each NKS file. This can be used to easily identify which version you are using. All releases have version numbers at the top of the download page and at the top of the ReadMe PDF within each release. Check the end of the page for a full change log

Omnisphere Updates

The Omnisphere control map has been updated for Omnisphere v2.4 (you need this version). This update now adds FX ON/OFF controls that will allow you to switch any of the FX modules ON/OFF. This not only becomes very useful for blind users but also for users that wish to take advantage of the ability to load VST FX in KK you can now load FX and disable the omnisphere FX from the hardware! This update required the changes in v2.4 for the on/off controls to function.

All Omnisphere presets (Factory, Bob Moog, 3rd Party, Keyscape) have been updated and will need to be downloaded and replaced.

Trilian Updates

Trilian has been completely overhauled and all NKS presets have been re-saved to address an issue where a "Multi" instrument was loaded into every preset by accident (when I created the default template). This has now been fixed and only layer 1 has a sound loaded.

The control pages now have labels for the "Macro" knobs which have been copied from the Trilian preset. Each preset has both the Macro and FX controls labelled for each preset so this will make control much easier.

Additionally new "Switch" controls allow you to switch on/off the macro elements if a switch feature exists for the preset

Finally after much user request I have included BOTH a library for Trilian and Omnisphere so you can choose if a sound loads in one or the other and the "Trilian VIP" library that is available to users of both trilian+Omnisphere is also included.

Additional Libraries

Lethal VST now includes updated libraries to X20 and more will be added when they are released. Trilian now includes a library for Omnisphere integration including the Trilian VIP library.

Numerous Tweaks & Improvements

There are thousands of tweaks and improvements to tagging, control templates, sound preview files to fix issues that have been found and reported by users or to update details or usability. It is a good idea to feedback any issues or suggestions as we do update these libraries with your suggestions.

I would like to thank people for their support and their feedback so far. This update has taken months and many (MANY) hours to work through but it is a huge step forward to making the sounds easier and faster to find which is what KK is all about.
